Top Philippine Presidentiables

I think we really have a good set of candidates this year.. Well except for Erap and Chiz i think. Again.. this is my personal opinion.

It was during the 1992 elections, the first presidential election that I had been interested in.. after watching each candidate's campaign, I really thought Senadora Miriam Defensor Santiago should've won that election but then.. she was cheated.. as she claims.. and then there came the 1998 elections.. I really don't care then.. we all knew ERAP would emerge as winner... and then 2004.. I was a Precint Marshall then.. NAMFREL volunteer.. (Not exactly a volunteer.. hehe.. I did it a part of my summer class curriculum in DLSU). GMA won.. that evil bitch. haha.

Anyway.. what's done is done.. we have to look ahead.. move on.. think about our future... atleast for me.. we have 2 good candidates... Noynoy and Gibo.. I really think they can make a difference.. although I have more faith with Noynoy..

Noynoy "The Hero's Son" Aquino
Noynoy may not look like he's really capable.. well I don't know for sure.. but there's one thing I'm sure of... he has a conscience... I think.. being an Aquino.. carrying a hero's name.. that he will do everything in his power to make our country a better place..

Gilbert "The Harvard Guy" Teodoro (also a Lasallian.. woohoo.. BEAT ATENEO ANIMO LASALLE!!!)
Gibo on the other hand have good credentials.. well educated.. but not enough government experience... but it seems like he has some solid plan for our country.. but this is not a fact.. these is not yet proven.. so its a big risk we should be willing to take if we are going to vote for this guy.

Manny "The Businessman" Villar
Manny Villar.. well he's a good businessman.. but he's been in the government for years now.. but the only thing I know of him was.. he made a lot more money when he was in the government ever before. And he was from the South.. so we seldomly hear anything from him.. so plainly.. I don't like him.. hehe.

There should be more 'Face to Face' type forums

The “Face to Face: 100 Local Government Champions vs. 4 presidential contenders” (Gilbert Teodoro, Chiz Escudero, Manny Villar and Noynoy Aquino) forum that aired over Cable Channel ANC last week proved to be very engaging and informative.

What made it work was that the questions came from a field of local government executives who know their subject matter and their concerns. Also, by limiting it to the administration presidential candidate plus three from the Opposition with really good chances of winning the 2010 elections, we were able to focus on the four candidates and thus have a better appreciation of the values they each will bring if elected president.

By putting the presidential candidate one at a time for an hour each, we got a good glimpse of their preferred policies, communications skills, overall personality, grasp of the issues and capacity for grace under fire. It is presumed that the presidential candidates did not know what the others answered as they were ushered into the AIM (Asian Institute of Management) Conference Room, the venue of the forum, one at a time.

All four presidential candidates came out unscathed from that forum. The voters who saw it were the big winners. There was really no outstanding performance by anyone to cause a perceived shift in voter allegiance. They all proved that they were knowledgeable and can be the 2010 president.

Likely, the Teodoro, Escudero, Villar and Aquino diehards would remain Teodoro, Escudero, Villar and Aquino diehards after having watched the ANC forum. Where the ANC forum could likely make a difference is among those who have not yet made up their minds and were leaning towards two or three of the four presidential candidates.

Administration candidate Gilbert Teodoro displayed a good grasp of details. His position on attaining lasting peace in Mindanao is sound. He acknowledged that the role of the military is to hold the territory so that peace can be cemented in the conflict areas. He also acknowledged that only human development, dialogue and confidence building can really create lasting peace.

Teodoro made a good pitch for Charter change but it is doubted if many people will go for it because of the deep distrust that this is being undertaken for personal political ends and not really for reform. It is in this issue where Chiz Escudero scored well as the Senator from Bicol stressed that the current Constitution was never given a chance to deliver its full potential. Chiz made a good point when he said that implementation of the law, not Charter change, is the solution.

Teodoro called the 1987 Constitution as too reactionary (to the Marcos dictatorship) and does not provide for the growth needs of the country because of too much emphasis on checks and balance. He claimed that the problems of the Marcos era are already behind us. That is of course highly debatable.

The present regime Teodoro serves is responsible for many autocratic acts, the likes of which we last saw during the Marcos era. Among the biggest violations of the principles of checks and balance by the present regime are the constant recycling of cabinet nominees who have been junked by the Commission on Appointments and the refusal of cabinet officials to attend adverse Senate and Congress hearings. What we need therefore is more reinforcement of the system of checks and balance.

Villar made a good account of himself but obviously public speaking is not in his comfort zone. On the question whether he will allow the local government units a greater revenue percentage allocation, Villar’s scored well by focusing on increasing the size of the pie instead of the percentage share of the pie.

Noynoy Aquino was a big revelation to many folks who have not really seen him in action. His relative obscurity compared to his presidential rivals plus the snide remarks of his detractors created the low expectation that worked greatly in his favor. A very high expectation can work against a candidate during a forum. Failure to live up to the high expectation could mean voter shift.

Noynoy stood up every time he answered a question — the only forum speaker to do so. This enhanced his image of being a respectful, deferring and humble person. He was also the most relaxed and even cracked some jokes — something that was sure to endear him further to people.

Noynoy was consistent with his core message of people empowerment as the real solution to our socio-economic problems. Only an empowered citizenry can make our democracy work and bridge the Wealth Gap.

On the VFA (Visiting Forces Agreement) issue, Noynoy was the only presidential candidate who made note of the foreign superpower agenda in Mindanao (which your Chair Wrecker had discussed in previous columns). More than the one-sidedness, the Philippines must see clearly through the geopolitical ramifications of the VFA as it could place the country as ground zero in the event of a US-China War.

It would be great if ANC can stage similar forums with housewives and mothers, youth and businessmen and professionals following the ‘Face to Face’ format.

Ginebra vs. Singapore Slingers

GI - NE - BRA!!! GI - NE - BRA!!! GI - NE - BRA!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!

I watched the Ginebra vs. Singapore Slingers game last wednesday, Sept 30, 2009.

Ginebra had a great game and man I really loved the energy flowing out from Ronald Tubid. I'm not really a Ginebra fan ( i've always loved now defunct Shell Team..) but it doesn't matter here in Singapore.. This is not just team Ginebra.. this is Team Philippines.

The game started a little boring, each team exchanging baskets, there would be an occasional cheer from the Filipinos, some teasing the players.. some cursing the referees. There were a lot of bad calls and the fans are getting frustrated. Someone actually shouted "Eh gago ka pala talaga Ref noh? (You really are stupid Ref, Right?)" resulting for the Slingers to pull away by the end of the second half.

The game started to become exciting as Ginebra started their rally to catch up. Ginebra run transition and played good defense. As well as the referees is who are now calling a fair game. Fans are now happy with the referees' call that made the same guy who cursed the referee during the first half shouted.. "Ref, Wo Ai Ni!!! (Ref, I love you!)". Well, in the end, Ginebra who was led by Mark Caguioa and Ronald Tubid, won the game.

Small forward Mark Caguioa top-scored for Ginebra with 24 points, with the athletic guard Ronald Tubid adding 15 points and six rebounds.

Kyle Jeffers led the Slingers with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Michael Leblanc, making his Challenge Series debut, added 19 points and 12 rebounds of his own.

Ginebra started the game swarming on D, clogging up the lanes, closing the channels and helping each other on the perimeter.

Every time Singapore guards Al Vergara or Hong Wei Jian drove into the paint, the smaller lineup of the Kings descended on the invader, often coming up with a steal or deflection.

The defence fuelled their running game, leading to easy points on the break. Mark Caguioa led the Kings with seven points in the first period.

Singapore had a harder time coming by points in the half-court set, but still managed to score through Kyle Jeffers and three-pointers from Vergara, Wei Long and Wei Jian, led to a 19-17 finish of the first quarter, advantage Ginebra.

The Slingers' usual surge at the beginning of the second quarter failed to materialise as the Kings continued to clamp on defence. Ginebra managed to continue their first quarter lockdown as Singapore were shackled for a good five minutes.

However, Ginebra's enthusiasm on the defensive end may have been a two-edged sword, as Enrico Villanueva picked up two quick fouls that led to the Kings' faithful jeering in unison. Hong stepped up sank a smooth trey after Villanueva's infraction.

The teams then exchanged baskets as Ginebra began to tire and the Slingers finding their range, the opposite of their game with the Smart Gilas Pilipinas.

However, the Kings did not panic after going behind a Vergara go-ahead three with three minutes to go, their veteran savvy showing as they worked the rock round the perimeter to find Caguioa open for a trey.

The Slingers went into halftime with a 40-34 lead, behind Leblanc's efficient 14 points in the second period on 75% shooting, all within the offence without a play called for him.

Singapore returned to the floor with an emphasis on slowing down the game, running the offence through Jeffers as the Slingers tried to cut down on their turnovers. Jeffers scored six points in the third.

The Kings countered by giving Eric Menk, Billy Mamaril and Ronald Tubid license in the post. With Tubid lighting up Michael Wong for eight points as the quarter wore on.

Ginebra also relied on Villanueva for the third, as the burly forward went to work.

Slingers coach Frank Arsego was forced to call a timeout with two minutes to go in the third to cool off Tubid's offensive explosion, and also inserted Vergara back into the game.

‘Big shot' Al return to the game paid instant dividends as he drilled a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 54-53, and he ran Singapore's offence to perfection as he found Marcus Ng on a backdoor cut to give the Slingers the lead.

Ng was fouled on the final possession of the third quarter and sank both freethrows to give the Arsego's men a 57-54 lead.
Kings coach Jong Uiohico called a timeout with 1.8 seconds left to draw a play for a buzzer beater, but Ronald Tubid missed the half-court fling by just a little.

Ng came to life in the fourth, as he starting taking the ball to he hoop to lead the Slingers on the charge. Singapore's ASEAN heritage player also drew a charge on Tupid, much to the ire of the Kings and their fans.

The offensive foul may have lit a flame under Ginebra as they roared back into the game, revving up their defence as they feasted on Singapore's turnovers to lead 73-65 with less than five minutes to go.

Singapore was down 75-70 with 23 seconds left when Kyle Jeffers received the ball in the post. The Slingers center took the ball to the basket, but was pummeled in the back by Kings point guard Celino Cruz as he went up for the shot. Words were exchanged and a fistcuff almost broke out but both teams quickly put it out. Jeffers missed the ensuing freethrows.

The Slingers started fouling to stop the clock after Jeffers' missed pair but they could not close the gap as they fell 77-72 in the end.

Mikey Arroyo criticizes bloggers; wants regulation on Facebook

Presidential son and Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo lashed out at Facebook users on September 29 for a “malicious attack [on] his personality,” reports the Daily Tribune.

In a text message, Arroyo did not deny that he was out shopping for alcoholic drinks on Saturday while typhoon Ondoy was ravaging Manila. He said that it was impossible for him to stop by Rustan’s Katipunan in Quezon City when the street was impassable because of the flood. “My picture posted at Facebook with a caption saying I was busy shopping for wine at the height of Typhoon Ondoy is another malicious attack at my personality. It is so depressing,” he said.

“On record, I was in Malacañang at that time with all my family trying to mobilize rescue and relief operations for people of Metro Manila and for my constituents in my district in Pampanga,” Arroyo said.

The Tribune goes on to say that “instead of resorting to grandstanding gimmickry at his expense,” according to Arroyo, “the bloggers should also busy themselves helping their countrymen who are still reeling from the effects of the worst natural calamity the country had experienced in decades.”

“I hope that Facebook and other like mediums be regulated so they can never be subjected to abuse by some scrupulous people. Facebook is easily susceptible to abuses as people can easily hide their identities,” he stressed.

A photo of a person alleged to be Arroyo buying liquor was posted on websites across the Internet on Sept. 28, but has since been taken down in most sites.

Typhoon Ondoy wrecked havoc over Metro Manila

Tragic Weekend ( Sept 25 - 27, 2009 )

I waited so long for this weekend.. F1 Singapore Grand Prix weekend.. My first F1 experience.. Eventhough we weren't able to get tickets, We were lucky enough to be able to watch and enjoy the F1 cars racing through Marina Circuit ( we found a good view of turn 16 and turn 17 from Marina Center )

But this happiness was short lived.. what supposed to be one of the most memorable and happiest day of my life was quickly drowned from the news I received the following day.. during the hours I was enjoying myself taking photos and video of the F1 cars.. something terrible was about to happen back home. It was when Typhoon Ondoy started pouring rain over Metro Manila.

After I heard the news about the flash flood and the damage it caused over metro manila.. I couldn't even bring myself to post the pictures I got from the Singapore GP which I planned to post immediately so I could brag it to my friends over facebook... this is not the time as I told myself.. How could I be so selfish for even having the thought of posting it knowing that many Filipinos are suffering. The feeling of pity and shock overwhelmed the feeling of thrill and excitement I got from adrenaline of F1 cars passing in front of me.

According to PDI Typhoon Ondoy is the 15th weather disturbance that hit the Philippines in 2009 which poured a total of 455 millimeters of rain in my hometown.. Quezon City.. alone in 24 hours, compared to the 250 millimeters of rain that Hurricane Katrina brought to New Orleans in Louisiana in the United States in 2005.

Ondoy poured a total of 334 millimeters of rain in the first six hours, which is the highest ever recorded rainfall in Metro Manila. Ondoy flooded 80% of Metro Manila (this is according to what I heard..), and covered areas that never experienced flooding before, stranding people on rooftops and bringing death and misery to rich and poor alike ( I saw a Subaru WRX STi na inaanod ng tubig.. ouch.. )

Even after the waters subsided, Metro Manila and the outlying regions were largely unprepared to handle the evacuees, the injured, and much less the contamination that the floodwaters brought. Therefore, we all need to help each other. I really wish I could go back home to help but I cant.. :(

As of press time I haven't had any information on the total precipitation of Typhoon Ondoy yet.. but here's the record of the most tragic typhoons and most highest precipitation our country got through history..

Battle of the Cojuangcos : Noynoy Vs. Gibo for President

The incoming 2010 Elections seems really tight, I mean, except for Erap ( I think he should be considered as a nuisance candidate. Hehehe… )

This September is really crazy… with all the decisions being made. Earlier this month Noynoy announced his candidacy and yesterday, Gilbert Teodoro was elected to be the the standard bearer of Lakas-Kampi beating Bayani Fernando with a big margin (I pity Bayani for looking so stupid.. he's not prepared.. tsk tsk tsk.)

Noynoy and Gibo are two of the youngest candidates to run for Presidency aged 49 and 45 respectively (let’s just ignore Chiz Escudero (39), he’s just another nuisance candidate.. hehe). For me personally, they seem to be the most capable leader to run our poor country, hopefully, being young and idealistic for that matter, they’re really sincere and genuine with their aim to help the filipino people. Well, ofcourse there’s a little personal ambition behind, but its not that bad.. really.

So what’s the common denominator between Noynoy and Gibo (except that they’re both middle aged man and balding.. hehe)? They share the same ancestors, atleast on their mother side, Cojuangco. Hence, the title of my blog : Battle of the Cojuangcos….. (this is me trying to be creative hehe.)

Noynoy Vs. Gibo

Round 1: Ateneo Vs. La Salle … (hahaha.. hanggang dito ba naman!?)

Actually this got me started on this topic. Noynoy Aquino studied in Ateneo from primary school until he finished AB Economics (wow.. loyalty award) while Gilbert Teodoro graduated from La Salle taking up BS Commerce Major in Financial Institutions. Although Gibo continued his Law studies in UP (he topped the Bar Exams 1989). He then completed his masters degree at the Harvard Law School and was given the first honorary Doctor of Laws degree by West Negros University of Bacolod.. wow.. that was something huh?! Let’s summarize then:

Winner: Looks like Noynoy is keeping himself busy. Not bad for a 49 year old bachelor.

Round 4: Opposition (Corrupt) vs. Administration (Mas - Corrupt)

Over the years we have been handled by corrupt officials who have no other agenda but to gain power and money from their positions. Well, not all former presidents are corrupt as they claim, former president Corazon Aquino, as they say were never corrupt, are we supposed to applaud her for that?! I mean, aren’t they suppose to be that way from the start?

Anyway, Noynoy is carrying the name of the Aquinos, the late senator, Ninoy, who sacrificed his life (btw, what a dumb move) to fight for democracy and the late president, Cory, who fought and gave democracy to the filipino people (while wearing a yellow dress for that matter) and through her career Cory is known to be the only president who is not corrupt ^{*citation needed hehe}. So this is one hell of good thing right?! I mean, you would not expect Noynoy to disrespect his parents’ legacy to the filipino people by becoming a corrupt official himself, so this is one thing to consider.

As for Gibo, well I don’t really know him so let’s just assume that he’ll be an honest President, someone who is truly sincere and dedicated in leading the filipino people to redemption. Sounds good right?! Now let’s take a moment and think if it really is possible.... Who's side is he in? GMA. Who appointed him as Defense Secretary? GMA. Who’s advise do you think he would still be follow after he won the presidency? GMA. Now ask me again if he is potentially a corrupt president.. :D do the math!

Why does she have to go.. I believe thats the common question some of us kept asking.. well to be logical.. there will always be a time for every single one of us to go.. then it will just be the question of when? For others... it seems to be easy to accept.. since it is a fact that in the natural way of life.. it should be something that everyone should get used to.. But if it is time for someone you really love to leave.. damn.. its so freakin' hard to accept.. its been 40days since she left.. and I still miss her.. I still kept wishing that everytime that I would visit their home in Antipolo.. that she would be there to greet us.. she would be there to cook the most tasteful dishes to our fullest delights.. but no.. its not gonna happen anymore.. we have to accept the fact that she wouldn't be around anymore.

She just turned 79 last May 4, for some.. they would say.. well.. she's old enough and had been through a lot in her life.. and would just say.. it's just her time now.. well for us.. whom she left.. for us who loved her so much.. she would never be old enough.. it's just too soon for us.. there are so much more things to be shared among us.. and there's so much more time to be spent together.. I don't really know when it would ever be enough..

Most of us have moved on.. being cool and normal whenever when we're together.. whenever we visit her tomb in the Garden of Gethsemane.. but in our own silent ways.. we all know.. we really miss her so much and we know that it will never be the same again.. That's why its so perfect what words my Mom chose to be engraved in her headstone.. "Without you.. It will never be the same again.." this words would never be less perfect than it is... She will always have a special part in our hearts.. now that she's gone.. that special part will always be empty.. always longing for it to be filled.. but will never be.. nothing can replace Lola in our hearts..

She's the most loving and most caring Lola, Mother or Wife you would ever have. In my case.. she's the Best Grandma I'll ever have..

Can you even imagine me being a part of this event? Well.. you're not crazy if you think I am.. I finished 312th!!! haha (Out of 330 or something).. hehe.. I can't believe I signed up for this event at first.. it's like.. "Are you even capable of finishing a 1 km race?!" hahaha! well.. it turned out.. I AM!!!

How does this even entered my mind?!

It started out when my friend Seldon asked me if I was interested to join a marathon event.. June 29, the day before our final weigh-in on our "Watson Wyatt Biggest Loser Contest".. As a last desperate move to lose some weight.. I thought.. what the hell!? That's just 10km.. it's nothing.. considering that I am one of the better runners in our basketball team when I was in highschool.. but then I realized.. omg! That was some 40lbs and 10 years ago! so believe me.. I hesitated bigtime whether to join or not.

Registration

Seldon did the registration for me.. for the effort he made of going to Fort Bonifacio just to had me registered kinda forced me to say yes.. haha. so 10k it is! when are we supposed to the act? haha.. June 29th around 5:30am. Believe me.. just waking up at 5am is one helluva job for me. I'm not the morning person I used to be.. it's hard to wake up all the fat sleeping [SEBO to make it short..] covering up my whole body. haha.

10km Day!!!

Judgement day comes.. we were on time [Thank God!] for the checkin... the first set of runners were the 15km runners.. they started around 545am.. then we came next [10km runners].. we started at 6am.. then were off.. at first.. the pace were kinda slow.. so I was still able to be part of the whole pack...

After a kilometer or so my legs started to give hints of giving up.. it's like im going to have cramps.. well I dunno how it should feel, believe it or not I haven't had cramps before.. so as the run progresses and as the other runners continue to jog their way to the 10km run.. I started slowing down.. haha.

Then my legs started to give up.. I had no other choice but to slow my pace and walk. Half of the of the time during the run I was alternately walking and running.. I can't keep up with the others.. Delcee started to leave us behind as she was able to keep up with lead group.. and then Seldon and Charisse started to distance themselves from me.. as I was really walking at some point.

I started to think of ways on how to get back from where we were before.. I saw jeepneys.. but darn.. I had no money with me... then i saw a cab.. hey!! I can take a cab.. then pay the driver as I get back to my car.. this should work! haha.. but hell.. a little more effort.. i need to exert a little more effort.. I can't just give up! I'm an Athlete.. I always tell myself.. haha [ talk about fighting spirit ].. so I kept my walking then running then walk again pace as we reached the 5km mark.

In the 5km mark there was a drinking station.. it's not water this time.. unlike the first two drinking stations we passed by.. It was an energy drink.. Thank God!!! haha.. I drank 2 cups... hoping that it would help me battle the muscle tightness I'm feeling in my legs.. luckily.. it worked!!! From there on I was able to speed up a little.. and I was able to catch atleast the other runners, including Seldon and Charisse.. Little by little I sped up my pace.. until we reached the 7.5km mark.. I'm almost there I said to myself.. It's time to give it all I've got.

Honestly, I was a little frustrated with myself... I can't believe I was having problems running.. I mean.. I don't really feel tired at all.. but my legs wont let me run as I wish I could have.. I know I can do better than my subpar performance during the first 7.5km.. I was really starting to run again.. after 10minutes I can see the last corner towards the finish line.. "Into the home stretch!!!" hahaha.. and then.. Finish! Aaaaahhhhh!! what a relief!! I did finished!!! checked my watch.. as I used its stopwatch feature to time myself.. 1 hour and 22 minutes! wow.. not bad.. as we were targeting 1 hour and 40 minutes. I felt really great and accomplished.. It really felt good to know that I was able to finish the 10km run.. I will do this again next time I thought..

Overall? I finished 312 of 333 finishers for the 10km run. Not bad eh?! Well for a first timer it's not! :D

I joined the "La Salle Cares" event this july 13... I registered for the 16km [10 miles] event.. This time.. It would really be a challenge. So let's see if I would be good enough for the extra miles. D:

I recently bought a DSLR Camera.. the Canon EOS 450d. Its an entry-level DSLR camera I bought hoping that it would make me look good when it took my pictures.. the problem is.. that's my camera.. and it only means that i would be the one to take the pictures... haha.. in short.. wala ako sa picture! Kidding aside.. I got interested in photography after seeing some quality pictures taken from a dSLR camera.. first from the mlph Track Day then next here in my office by some of my officemates who also owns dSLR cameras.. although, what I bought was not as expensive as what they have.

Actually my main reason for buying it was because I was looking for a hobby that I can share with Trish [My Girlfriend].. we've been together now for 7 years and I noticed that we haven't had a hobby [besides eating! :D] that we share together.. Well yes, we're both into eating.. and eating.. and eating.. [if you guys knew us long enough you would definitely agree based on how much weight we gained together. hahaha]... Anyway.. I noticed few years back.. Trish loved taking pictures of the food we eat.. actually more on macro shots of it.. Everytime we go to a restaurant and order one of their best dishes she would take a picture of it first before eating.. Se we thought buying a good camera would really be a good idea.

Anyway.. since I have a dSLR camera.. as most of all of you know.. have great potentials.. I'm hoping right now that would enough practice and some experimentations as well.. I might be able to maximize my camera's potentials.. and Hope that it would also bring out my potential as a n00b photographer as well. :D

Unexepressed Ideas

Its been a long time dream of mine to publish my own book.. the thing is.. I don't even have anything to write and the saddest part about it is.. I don't think I have the skill to write anything at all. I really suck in english [everything about it.], so I'll be practicing a lot by blogging anything that comes into my mind.

Let's just say that this blog will be my journal.. or maybe a diary.. or a repository....wherein I would be dumping all my unexpressed ideas.. ideas that doesn't necessarily need to make sense.. ideas that has been lingering in my mind.. its really nice because it would be very beneficial for me.. first.. I'll be able to free my mind of all those nonsense stuff thats been bugging me.. and secondly.. I would be able to freely practice my writing skills and english as well.. the Bad News is.. I'll be asking my friends to view my blogs.. for them to comment.. hahaha.. jeez.. what the hell am I supposed to do with all my blogs if no ones going to read it right?!

Isn't it amazing.. I mean, this blog would really be a beginning of everything for me?! hahaha.. dream on kid! well atleast I can be in touch with the poetic side of myself through this blog... I've always been wondering why God gave me nothing artistic to brag about... I mean.. I really love to sing.. but I wasn't given a tolerable singing voice [hehe]... and I even tried dancing.. I was even part of our school dance group way back in elementary... unfortunately, I didn't even learn how to dance.... drawing!? graphic arts?! well.. I can't say I haven't tried... I started creating random or abstract graphic arts and posted it in my deviantart site.. but still nothing happened. so now.. its come to this... maybe the whole artistic side of mine is into writing.. hahaha. so let's see.. and I'll let you be the judge of it.

I will be posting everything! starting from just a random blah blah to short stories to opinions.. and whatever I have on my mind whenever I have free time. Maybe I will start writing blah blahs for now.. then let's see.. I might even let you peak with the draft of my novel.. hahah!

Weight Problems!?

"When I was in high school or even during my early La Salle days.. about 4 years ago, I weighed 130 lbs.. Never really had any health problems. I eat a lot then but never got Fat (Actually i was hoping to get a lil chubby).. Just a month ago when i stepped in our weighing scale i was alarmed when i saw that i was just a few pounds less to 170lbs( I actually reached 170lbs a few days later.. ) Hehehe....
Its actually a big problem for me now(well maybe not that big considering trish gained some weight too!! hahahaha!), how to lose some weight and get my old MACHO Physique back! hahaha. well maybe not that macho, but still, I would really appreciate it if i dont have a buldging tummy to worry about. hehe. About the tummy, I think it would be really hard for me to lose it since my job requires me to sit 8-9 hours a day (unless i have a laptop so i could do it lying or something... hehe) , and being a systems analyst requires you to think and think and think which makes me very very hungry all the time. hehe. So the trend here in office is.. Work.. Snack.. Work.. Lunch... Sleep a little.... Work... Merienda NANAMAN?!.. then work... ahhh.. at last uwian na... But Wait.. trish and I spend our Quality Time after work Eating Again.. wahaha.. well when im with her.. God.. the appetite of that girl.. Nakakahawa!!! so.. in the end kakain nanaman kami.. hehe.. Imagine that 5 days a week.. Sino ba naman ang hindi tataba.. hehe.
You know what!? the ugliest part of gaining weight? Umiitim yung batok ko!!! waAAAAAaah!!!!
Well don't think that im not doing anything to lose weight.. i still am playing basketball from time to time and I really am trying to eat less and to eat the right food. Atleast, sa awa ng diyos, keeping up this pace.. i think i can reach 150lbs. hehehe... So lets hope that the next time you see me.. mapapa WOW ka na lang.. and you'll whisper to yourself.. "Shit.. ang macho talaga nya!!" Nyahahahaha!!!!
Moral of the Story?! Dont Lose Hope sa lahat ng kaibigan kong over weight!!! KAYA NATIN TO!!!

Guess what.. its been two years now since I posted this blog.. I've tried losing weight.. I even enrolled in "Fitness First", the thing is.. it doesn't really work for me.. as I always thought, the whole Gym Thingie was a big joke as I hardly had time to go to the gym. Its like paying 2k pesos per session as I paid for the gym membership monthly and just visiting the gym once a month. So its a little frustrating.. but you cannot say that I haven't tried. haha.. now I am a consistent 170 pounder... hahaha.. I little bit 20 lbs over my ideal weight and I really really miss my adam's apple, I haven't seen him in ages! haha. Now me and my colleagues in Watson Wyatt Came up with a program that would help us lose some weight.. the ESOL BIGGEST LOSER.. well.. I'll be posting about it soon on my next blog.

Yeah I know! I gained more pounds! 175 lbs right now.. huhuhu.
